The partners of Reforesta have over 30 years of experience working in tropical ecosystems. Our experience includes:
- Pterocarpus officinalis wetland mitigation in Puerto Rico
- Reforestation and enrichment planting with native species in montane forest of the Andes in Colombia
- Detailed studies of land use and forest regeneration in Puerto Rico (e.g. Barranquitas, Carite, Ciales, Luquillo, Sabana, and Utuado)
- Experience propagating native plant species of Puerto Rico
- Analyses of aerial photography
- GIS analyses of land use and implications for soil loss and sedimentation
- Ecological studies of flora and fauna in Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico
- Develop a carbon sequestration project for Argentina, for the United States Initiative for Joint Implementation program (USIJI).
